Mr. Khose Andraos

MORE THAN FOUR DECADES

… And it is as if were just yesterday… but in fact it is more than four decades ago that I had to face the challenge of having my first school day.

At the speech I delivered at the Graduation; I stood on the stage holding a large pack of papers and said: “It is for the first time and hopefully or unhopefully for the last time I stand here to speak.” That is why I take my courage in both hands and allow myself to express what I believe in.

The audience thought for a while that I was going to read it all; because as I said before, after having spent so many years I had the right to put into words all the ink I poured on that pack of paper. The time I had spent in our dear educational institution.

But in fact it was just a strategy… a strategy I used to say something else.

To say that every human being at adulthood is granted a large space for thinking and acting that he/she is supposed to fill in; day by day; with the daily possible successful experiences he/she is supposed to achieve.

It is my conviction that you are not allowed to leave blank papers because THEN life and even yourself; at an advanced age will tell yourself: “What the HECK have I done with my life…” The life (short or long) that God Almighty  gave us.

It is said: Live everyday as if it were your last.” By doing so you may have lived and may be able to stay alive in the minds of those who knew you, loved you, and even hated you and have the perspective of staying alive in their memory even  after death.

Try to fill in those paper sheets, because, may be that would be one of the reasons for having come into this world. A world nobody consulted us to come.

Living is not just trying to be alive  inside our earthly bodies, but trying to be alive beyond it. The examples are so numerous…
